Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Schmooboo & Co. Ltd, trading as Line4.ai ("Line4", "we", "our" or "us"), has taken and continues to take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.

Our business

Line4 is an AI-native technology company that builds and delivers software for financial services companies and regulators. We operate with teams across the UK, Brazil and Eastern Europe, delivering through small, focused AI pods of 2-3 people.

Our commitment

We are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our corporate activities and supply chains. We have zero tolerance for modern slavery in any form, including forced labour, debt bondage, human trafficking, and child labour.

Our supply chain

Our supply chain primarily consists of:

  • Technology platforms and cloud infrastructure providers
  • Software licensing and development tools
  • Professional services and contractors
  • Office and facilities providers

We assess our supply chain to be relatively low risk given that the majority of our suppliers are established technology companies. However, we remain vigilant and take appropriate steps to assess and manage risk.

Due diligence and risk assessment

We undertake due diligence when considering new suppliers and regularly review our existing supply chain. Our due diligence includes:

  • Evaluating modern slavery and human trafficking risks within our supply chain
  • Assessing potential suppliers before they enter our supply chain
  • Requiring suppliers to confirm their compliance with anti-slavery legislation
  • Building long-term relationships with suppliers and making clear our expectations

Our policies

We operate a number of internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

  • Equal opportunities and anti-discrimination policies
  • Whistleblowing policy enabling staff to raise concerns confidentially
  • Supplier code of conduct setting out minimum standards
  • Recruitment practices that include eligibility to work checks for all employees

Our people

We ensure that all employees, whether based in the UK or internationally, are paid fairly and above living wage requirements. We verify the right to work status of all employees and do not use forced, involuntary or underage labour. Our recruitment processes are designed to ensure that prospective employees are legally entitled to work and are not being exploited.

Training and awareness

We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery issues within our organisation. Key staff involved in procurement and recruitment are made aware of the risks of modern slavery and how to identify and report concerns.

We encourage anyone with concerns about modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chain to report them. Reports can be made to compliance@line4.ai
